The circus is coming back to town — and this time it’s armed with blast beats, symphonic firestorms, and glacial death metal.
Theatrical heavy metal juggernauts AVATAR have announced their Spring 2026 North American headline tour, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most diverse and punishing packages of the season. Riding the momentum of their 2025 album Don’t Go in the Forest, the band is once again crossing the continent — this time joined by Italian symphonic death metal architects FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE and Texas caveman-death specialists FROZEN SOUL.
The tour launches April 16 in Sacramento, California and runs through May 20 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, with massive festival stops at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple along the way. It’s a lineup built for both spectacle and savagery: AVATAR’s twisted carnival of theatrical heaviness colliding with FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE’s orchestral extremity and FROZEN SOUL’s frostbitten old-school brutality.
Frontman Johannes Eckerström teases the tour with his usual cinematic menace, invoking the eerie, immersive world of Don’t Go in the Forest — a world where the trail disappears, the trees close in, and something unseen is always watching. In other words: the perfect atmosphere for an AVATAR show.
