It appears that Bullet For My Valentine may be in the midst of some behind the scenes issues with co-headliners Trivium. The pair are just about to finish their “Poisoned Ascendancy” U.S. tour, along with August Burns Red, Sylosis, and Bleed From Within, and were supposed to embark on the Latin America and Australia/New Zealand/Japan legs of tour soon thereafter. However, this appears to no longer be the case.
A Mexican concert promotion account posted the following announcement:
Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine has decided not to continue with the “Poisoned Ascendancy Tour” alongside Trivium, they will only fulfill the last dates already agreed on in North America. So plans for Australia and Latin America (including Mexico) are cancelled, although there is a possibility that Trivium may hit the country solo with the anniversary celebration of their album “Ascendancy”.
Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto called out Matt Tuck of Bullet For My Valentine on a livestream for being the sole reason that the rest of the tour got canceled, as he is apparently the primary decision maker for the band. This sparked a back and forth, with Trivium cutting ties with Matt Tuck specifically.
The bands have since unfollowed each other on social media. Trivium are now calling it the “farewell” tour, implying that it’s been cut short. Bullet For My Valentine have yet to officially confirm that the tour is canceled, leaving Latin American, Australian, and Japanese fans in the dark.
