Centinex premiere ‘unholy and punkish death metal hit’ “Your Religion Dies Tonight”

Attention boyz and girlz! Earlier today (Wed, Sept 24 at 11 AM CEST), CENTINEX premiered the official video for “Your Religion Dies Tonight,” the first single from their upcoming album With Guts and Glory.

The band delivered exactly what they promised: an “unholy and punkish death metal hit spiced with sacred symbols and naked skin.” Yes, you read that correctly. Sacred symbols. Naked skin. Punkish death metal. All in one serving. Think of it as a balanced breakfast, but with more blasphemy and distortion pedals.

The Album: With Guts and Glory (Out November 7, 2025)

Swedish death metal veterans CENTINEX are back with their 12th full-length album, With Guts and Glory, dropping November 7 via Black Lion Records. It’s coming out on CD, vinyl, and—because it’s 2025—every digital platform your phone has room for.

Formed in 1990, Centinex became a pillar of the riff-driven Swedish death metal scene before taking a hiatus in 2005. They roared back to life in 2014 and have been releasing records of ever-increasing ferocity since. This new album is their fourth since reforming, and they swear it’s not “just another Centinex album.” Instead, it’s a no-compromise mix of death metal aggression, thrash speed, punk attitude, and some grooves heavy enough to knock over your IKEA bookshelf.

The band sums it up best:

“This record is about pleasing ourselves first and foremost. Heavy, intense, and with no apologies.”

Translation: if you don’t like it, Centinex doesn’t care.

Final Thoughts

After three decades, a breakup, and more comebacks than your favorite soap opera character, Centinex are louder, faster, and angrier than ever. With Guts and Glory is their battle cry for 2025—a record that throws subtlety out the window and replaces it with riffs sharp enough to cut steel.

So, mark your calendar: November 7 for the full album release. Until then, polish your boots, light your candles, and prepare for some sacred-symbol-smashing death metal glory.
