About the Tour
Roth’s recent solo shows have featured a lineup including Al Estrada (guitar), Ryan Wheeler (bass), Francisco Valentino (drums), and Danny Wagner (keyboards) — the same musicians who backed him during his 2025 live return.
After initially announcing his retirement and canceling remaining Las Vegas farewell dates in 2022, Roth made a surprise return to full-length solo performances in 2025, joking onstage, “We’ve reached the end of my first retirement.”
Since then, he’s continued performing and releasing new recordings — including raw, live-tracked versions of classic Van Halen songs recorded without samples or Auto-Tune — and has made it clear that “farewell” doesn’t necessarily mean final.
In other words: if you’ve learned anything about David Lee Roth over the decades, it’s that nothing is ever quite over — it’s just on intermission.
