Apparently steamrolling the country with Sanguisugabogg, Despised Icon, and Corpse Pile wasn’t enough carnage for Defeated Sanity. The band is now gearing up for their first-ever U.S. headlining tour in support of Chronicles of Lunacy — the album that somehow managed to “crush” Billboard despite sounding like a meteor shower hitting a meat locker.
Stereogum said they’ve got “Juan Soto in the box confidence,” which is a sports metaphor, but don’t worry — the only thing getting pitched on this tour is your spine directly into the floor.
New Noise recently praised their Chicago show, describing the band’s blast beats as “merciless,” the riffs as “jagged and precise,” and the breakdowns as physically detectable on a seismic chart. In other words: classic Defeated Sanity, just with more ways to concuss you.
