German brutal death metal pioneers Defeated Sanity are finally making their way across the U.S. for a full tour in support of their critically-acclaimed, Billboard-busting (yes, really) new album Chronicles of Lunacy. If you thought America was already on the verge of collapse, wait until Lille Gruber’s blast beats hit your city – your brain might liquify before the economy does.
The band has just dropped a new drum playthrough for fan favorite “Condemned to Vascular Famine”, proving once again that Gruber is less a drummer and more a medical anomaly. The track was voted the top pick by fans, and according to Gruber himself, it’s their idea of fun to “mess with the audience” by opening shows with it. Because nothing screams “welcome” like a rhythm that sounds like a thousand jackhammers falling down a staircase.
The upcoming 22-date trek sees Defeated Sanity joining forces with Sanguisugabogg, Despised Icon, Corpse Pile, and a rotating cast of sonic punishment including Skinless, Ringworm, and Gorgasm. Basically, it’s less of a tour and more of a multi-city concussion clinic.
