Deraps Announce First-Ever U.S. Tour for February 2026

America, consider this your warning shot. Deraps, Canada’s fast-rising hard rock throwback with zero interest in subtlety, are officially crossing the border for their first-ever U.S. tour in February 2026, bringing a late-’70s, early-’80s, plug-straight-into-the-wall approach to stages across the country.

Fronted by Jacob Deraps — the Quebec-born guitar prodigy whose note-perfect Van Halen covers once sent YouTube into a collective meltdown and earned recognition from the Official Van Halen News Desk — the band has been steadily carving out a lane where classic rock worship meets modern firepower. Big riffs, real solos, zero irony (well… almost).

After signing with Metalville Records and landing a publishing deal with Anthem Entertainment (home of Rush, so yes, expectations are high), Deraps released their self-titled debut in 2022 to strong international buzz. Since then, they’ve stacked up opening slots for Tom Cochrane, Ann Wilson, Loverboy, and Foreigner, and took their sound overseas with a standout appearance at the UK’s Stonedead Festival alongside Blue Öyster Cult.

Momentum hit another gear with the release of their second album, Viva Rock N’ Roll, written, produced, recorded, and mixed by Jacob Deraps himself. Released on May 23, 2025, the album earned glowing reviews worldwide and even pulled off a surprise #1 rock sales debut in Japan — not bad for a band that still plays like it’s trying to blow up the Sunset Strip.

Now, American fans finally get their turn.

“This is the birth land of rock ’n’ roll to me,” says Deraps. “It’s where my heroes flourished — Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Guns N’ Roses, Ratt, Dokken, Extreme, Steve Vai, Jake E. Lee, Steve Lukather… touring the U.S. has always been a dream.”

Why This Tour Matters (Yes, Really)

Still in his twenties, Jacob Deraps is already stacking serious credentials, including:

  • Best International Guitarist – Via Nocturna (Portugal)

  • Praise from Japanese rock press as “the one keeping the spirit of Van Halen alive”

  • Zappa Foundation Award recipient in his teens

Live, Deraps promise a no-nonsense rock show: material from both albums, carefully chosen classic-rock covers, and a full-throttle tribute to Eddie Van Halen — because pretending the ’80s didn’t happen is no longer an option.

If you’re craving actual guitar solos, amps turned up past common sense, and a reminder of why rock ’n’ roll was never meant to behave, Deraps’ first U.S. tour is not one to sleep on.

Viva Rock N’ Roll. America — it’s finally your turn.
