Get ready, America — Deraps are finally crossing the border.
The Canadian hard-rock breakout are heading to the U.S. for the first time this February, bringing their high-octane, late-’70s / early-’80s-inspired sound stateside on the first leg of their “Viva Rock N’ Roll” Tour.
Fronted by guitar phenom Jacob Deraps — whose jaw-dropping Van Halen tributes originally blew up online and earned recognition from Eddie Van Halen’s own camp — the band have quickly built a reputation for fusing classic rock flash with modern firepower. Alongside co-writer Josh Gallagher, Deraps have carved out a sound that’s melodic, virtuosic, and unapologetically fun, without feeling like a museum act.
After signing with Metalville and Anthem Entertainment (the Rush connection alone gets a nod of approval), the band dropped their self-titled debut in 2022 to international praise. Their follow-up, Viva Rock N’ Roll (released May 23, 2025), only pushed the momentum further — earning glowing reviews worldwide and even landing a surprise #1 rock sales debut in Japan.
They’ve already shared stages with the likes of Tom Cochrane, Ann Wilson, Loverboy, and Foreigner, and lit up crowds at the UK’s Stonedead Festival alongside Blue Öyster Cult. Now it’s finally time for U.S. fans to see what the noise is about.
As Jacob Deraps puts it:
“Touring the U.S. has always been a dream of mine. This is the birthplace of so many of my heroes — Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Guns N’ Roses, Ratt, Dokken, Extreme, Steve Vai, Jake E. Lee… this is where it all came from.”
Dream or not — it’s happening.
