Returning to the infamous grounds of the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, Inkcarceration will take over July 17–19, 2026, with more than 65 bands, stacked stages, tattoo chaos, and that unmistakable “music-in-a-haunted-prison” energy that no other festival can touch.

More Than Just A Festival
Inkcarceration isn’t just about crushing riffs and circle pits. It’s America’s rock and metal tattoo festival, featuring over 100 tattoo artists, haunted attractions, and full access to tours of the prison made famous by The Shawshank Redemption. It’s loud, weird, immersive, and totally unmatched.
ICE NINE KILLS frontman Spencer Charnas summed it up perfectly, nodding to Shawshank lore:
