Buckle up, buttercups – FILTH is hitting the road in March to melt faces from West Virginia to North Carolina. You know, that band that decided deathcore and hip-hop needed an unholy mashup? (Someone make them explain this life choice over post-show drinks.) Their “Beasts of the East” tour is split into two acts like some metalcore Shakespeare play, but with more breakdowns and fewer soliloquies. Fun fact: FILTH once played a basement show so gnarly it flooded with… well, let’s just say it wasn’t Mountain Dew.
Kicking off March 6 in Dunbar, WV, the first leg features BLACKWATER DROWNING – a band rumored to have more riff notebooks than actual social skills. Later, the tour switches to a three-band onslaught: AUTUMN LIES BURIED (ironic name since they only tour during pollen season), COMAWAVES (whose name perfectly describes their effect on your eardrums), and JAWJACKED (fun fact: their mosh pits have literally caused dental emergencies – maybe bring a mouthguard)
