Enter MINUS THE BEAR, your favorite math-rock/emo-adjacent noodlers, who just remembered their 2005 album Menos el Oso turns 20 this year. Cue the midlife crisis tour!

You’ll get KENNEBEC (named after a river, not a Canadian Tire store), SOFT PALMS (sounds like a spa treatment), and DISHEVELED CUSS (modestly accurate band name). “Menos el Oso put us on a trajectory that none of us were expecting. There is a ‘before ‘Pachuca Sunrise’ video’ moment in time, and then there is an ‘after ‘Pachuca Sunrise’ video’ moment in time. It seemed like once people heard that song, and saw that video, everyone went straight to Limewire, Napster, Soulseek, BitTorrent, etc. and shared the album immediately.
