Prepare your necks — and your livers. Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly returns for its ninth edition on May 2–3, 2026, once again taking over The Fillmore Philadelphia with a stacked lineup of extreme metal, exclusive anniversary sets, and enough craft beer to test even the most battle-hardened festival veteran. For the first time ever, the fest will be all-ages, proving that thrash and hops are truly for everyone.
Texas crossover titans POWER TRIP will headline Sunday night, marking their first Philadelphia appearance in seven years, while Richmond party-thrash lifers MUNICIPAL WASTE will close out Saturday with a special set celebrating material from their genre-defining album The Art Of Partying — because subtlety has never been the point.
The weekend is packed with once-in-a-lifetime performances, including CRYPTOPSY tearing through None So Vile in honor of its 30th anniversary, and New York hardcore pioneers CRO-MAGS performing The Age Of Quarrel to celebrate 40 years of one of the most influential records in hardcore history.
Also on the bill: reunited sludge trailblazers KYLESA, death metal bruisers NECROT, Italian splatter-death devotees FULCI, masked mincecore chaos crew HAGGUS, grind merchants NO/MÁS, and D.C. death/grind wrecking crew BLOOD MONOLITH — making this one of the fest’s most stacked lineups to date.
And yes, the beer still matters. The brewing side of the fest is once again anchored by 3 Floyds Brewing, with additional pours from WarPigs Brewing, XUL Beer Company, Magnanimous Brewing, New Trail Brewing Co., Nepenthe Brewing, Little Cottage Brewery, Bear Cult Brewing Co., and Brimming Horn Meadery, with more breweries to be announced.
“Metal & Beer” ticket holders will receive exclusive access to The Foundry, the Fillmore’s upstairs room, offering brewery meet-and-greets and tasting sessions — all while keeping eyes and ears on the main stage. These passes are limited to 500 per day.
