Guess who’s back? METALCORE OGs SHAI HULUD just dropped news of a U.S. tour split into two acts – like a Spotify playlist, but with more breakdowns. November’s edition features DENIAL OF LIFE, while December serves up HOLDER (not the thing you use to keep your burrito together). Grab tickets before your ex does.
In a plot twist fans saw coming (but will still hype), vocalist Geert van der Velde returns – AGAIN. Dude’s been playing musical chairs with SHAI HULUD’s mic since the Y2K scare, fronting them in:
● 1999-2003 (pre-Facebook era)
● 2003-2005 (MySpace golden days)
● 2009 (when “vintage” band tees became ironic)
Yeah, he’s basically the Gandalf of metalcore – “I come back to you now, at the turn of the tour.”
“Greetings Friends!” wrote SHAI HULUD, because apparently it’s 1825. “It’s a return to form! We’ve got Geert on the mic and we’re hitting the United States!” (Translation: We’re finally leaving Florida.) “We hope to see you all come out in full force, ready to bring it.” (Double translation: Please stop chanting for songs from 1997.)
