Hold onto your spandex, America! British glam-rock clowns-turned-legends THE DARKNESS are crashing back into North America for a two-part tour that’s longer than Justin Hawkins’ falsetto notes. First leg? Kicking off August 29 at Rocklahoma (because what’s more rock ‘n’ roll than Pryor Creek, Oklahoma?) and rolling through September like a glitter cannon explosion. Then, after a mysterious autumn hiatus—probably to stockpile hairspray—they’ll be back in November to torch Texas and beyond.
Tickets hit the wild on Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m. local time. Set those alarms, folks—these tickets will vanish faster than a leather jacket at a thrift store sale.
In their own gloriously extra words: “THE DARKNESS are bringing our dreams of rock ‘n’ roll rampage back to the USA and Canada later this year, and we’re gonna spread it thick on your toast! Peanut butter & jelly, maple syrup, or lovers of marmite — you are ALL welcome!
“Expect glorious spectacles of foot-stomping, guitar-wailing and face-melting, high-octane joy.
“Tell your mates. Tell your mum. THE DARKNESS are coming!”

Fun fact: THE DARKNESS’s new album “Dreams On Toast” (yes, you read that right. Dreams. On Toast. Because why dream of grandeur when you can slap it on a slice of sourdough?) just scored them their highest chart position since their 2003 debut. It’s got everything: ’70s pop vibes, a country ballad, and enough guitar solos to power a small village. Bonus trivia: Frontman Justin Hawkins now runs a wildly entertaining YouTube channel where he reacts to music while wearing increasingly absurd outfits. Priorities!
The album artwork? Designed by Perry Shall, a Grammy-nominated artist who’s probably the only human alive who can make toast look menacing.
And for those who want the full THE DARKNESS experience beyond the music, their documentary “Welcome To The Darkness” drops in the U.S. on April 15. It’s a wild ride from their meteoric rise to… well, let’s just say there’s a reason they’re called “the phoenix of rock.” Directed by Simon Emmett, who’s photographed everyone from Bowie to Beyoncé, so you know it’s extra shiny.
