THE SWORD is back, baby! After a much-anticipated reunion, they’re hitting the road with their first batch of US tour dates. The Austin legends are heading west to perform their epic album Warp Riders from cover to cover, celebrating its 15th anniversary in style.
“This is probably the only chance people will have to see us perform the entire album, so don’t miss out!” says JD Cronise, because, you know, you don’t want to miss a legendary album performed live.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM local time via TheSwordOfficial.com. You’ll be treated to support from Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol and Pink Fuzz on all dates, because, extra metal goodness.
A limited-edition reissue of Warp Riders was released for Record Store Day and, spoiler alert, it sold out super fast. Remastered by J. Robbins, the “Sea of Pyres” vinyl variant was a real treat, featuring an embossed mirror board jacket – metalheads love their vinyl, don’t they?
