TRULY (ex-Soundgarden, ex-Screaming Trees) Announce New Album + 2026 Tour

Seattle alt-rock veterans TRULY have officially joined forces with Worldwide Entertainment Group (WEG), who will handle management, merch, live plans, and a full visual rebrand as the band gears up for its 30th-anniversary tour in 2026, titled “Then, Today And Tomorrow.” Expect a mix of new songs and long-loved deep cuts.

Formed in the early ‘90s and always marching to their own beat, TRULY carved out a space outside the typical Seattle-scene narrative. Their 1995 album Fast Stories… From Kid Coma even landed at #3 on Alternative Nation’s “Top 10 Underrated ’90s Alternative Rock Albums” in 2014.

Founders Robert Roth and Hiro Yamamoto shared their excitement about the new partnership:
“Right from the start, we knew we were in the right place. Dave and Sandy dug deep into what makes us TRULY. Their focus and passion are inspiring as we plan our new music and tour.”

The band still features all three original members:

  • Robert Roth – vocals, guitar

  • Hiro Yamamoto – bass, vocals (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, 2025)

  • Mark Pickerel – drums

WEG’s Dave Lory and Sandy Rizzo add:
“We’ve been fans for decades. When the chance came to work with TRULY, it was an instant yes. This band has always followed its own path, and we’re excited to help them take the next big step.”

Roth has always been candid about the rollercoaster behind Fast Stories… From Kid Coma, including Capitol Records’ infamous “we didn’t have our shit together” apology and the payola-era chaos that derailed the album’s momentum. He’s also noted that the broader industry shift away from Seattle’s fiercely independent ethos played a role — a time when labels favored easier-to-control “second wave grunge” acts from everywhere but Seattle.
