DREAM THEATER To Play “A Change Of Seasons” In Full On Their Upcoming U.S. Tour

Alright folks, brace yourselves – the prog-metal professors of DREAM THEATER are dragging their time-signature calculators back to U.S. stages this September. Their new Parasomnia Tour will feature their latest album in full (we’re guessing that’s 80 minutes minimum) AND their 1995 marathon track “A Change of Seasons” – because who doesn’t love a 23-minute song before bathroom breaks?

The musical mathletes kick things off September 5 in Reading, PA, zig-zagging across America like a polyrhythmic pinball until October 25 in Uniondale, NY. Pro tip: Atlanta gets a double-dose of nerd-metal glory with the new album show on 9/13 and a makeup 40th anniversary bash on 9/14 (because even DREAM THEATER needs homework extensions sometimes). Grab tickets before they’re scalped by music theory majors.

“We are very excited to be performing A Change of Seasons on our Parasomnia US tour!” wrote DREAM THEATER, clearly underestimating how many wrist braces fans will need after air-drumming to Mike Portnoy’s fills.
