Early 2026 is shaping up to be a very busy — and very introspective — season for the Swedish masters of melancholy, who will be bouncing straight from their support slot with Opeth into their own headlining shows across the continent.
Katatonia’s North American plans will stretch through February and into March, and while the band had already confirmed a headlining leg, the supporting cast remained a mystery until now. Enter Rivers Of Nihil — progressive death metal’s favorite mood-swing specialists — joining the tour for Katatonia’s headline dates, including one stop where Katatonia take top billing during the Opeth run.
The headlining shows kick off February 27 in San Francisco and wrap up March 12 in Brooklyn, neatly slotting in right after Katatonia finish warming up arenas with Opeth. Tickets for all upcoming Katatonia dates are already on sale, so yes, procrastinating will probably result in regret.
