Today in our Ask The Artist series we head to Poland, spotlighting TITANIUM — melodic, speedy power metal with symphonic fire, led by guitarist, founder and backing vocalist Karol Mania (also known for his guitar work in PATHFINDER). With a long-awaited new chapter finally taking shape, Karol steps in to answer a deceptively simple question that goes straight to the heart of heavy metal.

The Question of the day: “If you had to define heavy metal using just five songs, which ones would you pick — and why?”
Karol Mania:
JUDAS PRIEST – “Painkiller”
Best heavy metal song ever!MANOWAR – “Wheels of Fire”
First Manowar song I heard and got hooked instantly. Best song for a road trip.METALLICA – “Ride the Lightning”
First song I think about when I see the Metallica logo, also the best guitar solo on the entire album.HELLOWEEN – “Eagle Fly Free”
After listening to the raw energy of Walls of Jericho, the next album I got was Keeper II. I was totally blown away by the opening song — it is the best power metal hymn ever written.STEEL PANTHER – “Death to All but Metal”
Awesome tribute to the heavy metal classics, great sense of humor, and they promised to bring heavy metal back.
Now Playing: TITANIUM – “Nothing Stops Us Now”
The featured track “Nothing Stops Us Now” opens the door to TITANIUM’s third full-length album, In Search of Lost Time, scheduled for release in May/June 2026 via Avalon / Marquee (Japan), with an international label still to be confirmed.
This song marks the band’s first new material since 2016’s Atomic Number 22 — and it’s a bold reintroduction. Fast, melodic, uplifting and sharp-edged, the track delivers classic European power metal energy with modern polish, symphonic touches, and relentless guitar work.
The current lineup features guitarist Karol Mania, alongside Gunsen, with soaring vocals provided by Konstantin Naumenko from Ukraine (also SUNRISE, DELFINIA, GODSPEAR, SYMPHONITY), whose range and power elevate the band’s already explosive sound.
After years of writing and recording, the upcoming album will be (according to the band) the most melodic and power metal–driven record in TITANIUM’s discography, with more details — including the album title and tracklist — coming very soon.
Speed. Melody. Steel-strong riffs. TITANIUM are back — and nothing stops them now.
