June 10, 2025 | Somewhere Between Refuse and Resist — Max and Igor Cavalera have just announced their “Chaos A.D. U.S. Tour 2025” where they’ll perform SEPULTURA’s legendary 1993 album in its entirety, again. That’s right. The same album. The same tracks. The same groove. But hey — new T-shirts!
In a rare moment of unfiltered honesty, Max Cavalera admitted what fans have suspected for years: “Look, man, we tried writing new stuff. But then we looked at each other and said, ‘Why?’ ‘Chaos A.D.’ still sells. We just re-record it every year, slap on a new tour poster, and boom — sold-out shows and free catering.”
Speaking with Biotech Monthly (yes, it’s a real publication now), Max added, “People don’t want new Cavalera stuff. They want the heartbeat of my son, Zyon, on track one. They want ‘Territory’ and the riots and the bodybag art and the old-school mosh. So we give it to them. Again. And again. And again. Like a metal-themed Groundhog Day.”
When asked if they plan to stop at Chaos A.D., Max smirked: “Hell no. After this? ‘Roots’ again. Then maybe we celebrate the 31st anniversary of ‘Chaos A.D.’ next year, just to keep it spicy. We might play it backwards. Who knows.”
Max also teased a potential “Chaos A.D. Cinematic Universe” where each track becomes a limited series on Netflix. Episode 1: “Refuse/Resist: The Max Cavalera Story, As Told By Max Cavalera.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, and presale begins with the code “BIOTECH,” because someone somewhere still thinks that line is edgy. VIP packages include a photo op with a replica body bag, a “groove not blast” foam finger, and a live demonstration of Max trying to remember how to pronounce “Norwalk.”
Long live nostalgia. Long live groove metal. Long live the eternal, looping rerun of Chaos A.D.
