LAMB OF GOD Unleash “Sepsis” — Their First New Song In Three Years

The mighty Lamb of God are back — and they’ve come swinging with “Sepsis”, a vicious new single that slices through the silence since their 2022 record Omens. Out now via Epic Records, the track is a grimy, teeth-gritting reminder that these Richmond metal titans still rule the pit.

Produced by the band’s longtime partner-in-chaos Josh Wilbur, “Sepsis” clocks in at three and a half minutes of slow-burning aggression and raw groove. The song arrives with an equally gritty lo-fi performance video, directed by Gianfranco Svagelj, filmed deep in the heart of Richmond’s underground — the city that birthed Lamb of God’s fury in the first place.

A Tribute to Richmond’s Underground Roots

Guitarist Mark Morton explains that “Sepsis” is a love letter to the local scene that shaped them:

“It’s a celebration of the underground Richmond bands we admired when we were forming Burn the Priest,” Morton says. “Bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger—those were our heroes. This song is a direct line back to those basement days when we were writing our earliest material together.”

A Huge Year for Lamb of God

2025 has already been a landmark year for the band. They marked 25 years of their discography, tore through their hometown at the massive “Back to the Beginning” concert, dropped a crushing cover of Black Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave”, and stormed festivals like Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life.

They even headlined the opening season of Richmond’s brand-new Allianz Amphitheater — proving that after two and a half decades, they’re still on fire.

What’s Next? The Party Doesn’t Stop.

Before the year’s out, Lamb of God will hit a string of massive shows — including Aftershock, AMMA Championship Fest, and their own Headbangers Boat (Oct. 31 – Nov. 4). The four-day cruise from Miami to Cozumel is a headbanger’s paradise, stacked with performances by Clutch, Power Trip, Obituary, Fear Factory, The Black Dahlia Murder, and more — plus comedy sets, special guests, and enough riffs to sink the ship.

Tickets for the cruise are available now at HeadbangersBoat.com, and all other tour dates can be found at LambofGod.com.
