AFI announced a North American tour, dragging their goth-punk theatrics across 24 cities this fall. They’re bringing TR/ST (because apparently today isn’t spooky enough?) along for the ride, brought to you by the fine folks at LIVE NATION. Kicking off September 30 in Madison, Wisconsin, they’ll hit spots like Brooklyn, Atlanta, and even Denver’s altitude-challenged crowd before ghosting everyone on November 5 in San Diego. Oh, and they’re sneaking in a Mexico City show mid-November because why not? 🔥
Mark your calendars because tickets start with a fancy artist presale June 25 at 10 AM local time. Regular humans get their shot June 27 at 10 AM via LiveNation.com. Pro tip: wear black.
Fun fact: AFI’s been flipping off genre labels since the ‘90s, somehow making both eyeliner enthusiasts and suburban dads wave lighters. Their opener, synth wizard TR/ST, basically sounds like a haunted nightclub—which explains the cult following. This tour’s their first big outing since 2021’s “Bodies”, so expect a mix of old angst and new existential crises. Bring tissues (for the tears, obviously).

Critics lost their minds over “Bodies”: SPIN called it “fusing some experimental new steps into the tried and true AFI formula,” while Brooklyn Vegan claimed it’s “the most consistently rewarding batch of songs AFI have released in at least a decade.” Kerrang! even threw confetti, saying keyboards and electronic beats gave the album “a feeling of gutter-glitter.” Davey Havok probably smirked.
