Epic instrumental prog metal outfit ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD is hitting the road with their debut US headliner, The Sleeper Has Awakened Tour.
This supergroup is packing some serious heat, with guitarist JD McGibney (ex-VOODOO KUNGFU) bringing his axe-wielding skills, bassist Jason Klein (ex-BUTCHER BABIES) thumping out the low-end, and TV and film composer Chris Wirsig tickling the ivories on keyboards. Rounding out the lineup is drummer Eddie Trager (ex-NEKROGBLIKON, and currently multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire in TAKE & TAKE).
“It’s been a few years since any of us have been on the road,” says guitarist JD, “and we’re stoked to finally be taking ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD out on tour. Ever since we started working together on this project, the end goal has always been to bring AOTB to the stage and connect with audiences in person. The timing feels right for magic to happen!”
ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD won’t be flying solo on this tour, though – they’ll be joined by symphonic metal mavens ANTHEA. The tour kicks off October 3, with tickets on sale August 29. Don’t sleep on it – grab yours here!
