Ryan Neff has announced via social media that he is parting ways with As I Lay Dying.
The bassist and clean backup vocalist joined the group in 2022, and stated that his decision to leave the band is the right step for his “personal and professional journey.”
His full statement reads:
As of today, I have made the decision to leave As I Lay Dying. This choice comes after much reflection, and I believe it is the right step for my personal and professional journey. I am grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve made during my time with the band. Thank you to all the fans for your support.
Neff, who also has been an active member of Miss May I since 2009, confirmed his As I Lay Dying exit on his October 18th Instagram post. As of this writing, it remains to be seen who will be taking Neff’s place when As I Lay Dying embarks on their European tour to promote their new album, Through Storms Ahead.
