BEARTOOTH Releases Recording Of Hometown Concert As ‘I Was A… Live’

So the platinum-selling, billion-streams-on-shuffle rock circus known as BEARTOOTH – shoutout to Caleb Shomo (yells), Zach Huston and Will Deely (guitar heroes), Oshie Bichar (bass wizard), and Connor Denis (drum goblin) – just pulled off their first hometown arena gig at Columbus’ Schottenstein Center on January 18, 2025. Spoiler: they didn’t just play – they detonated. Pyro explosions? Check. Crowd chaos? Obviously. Fun fact: Caleb once said he’d rather eat a lemon than perform without fire. Guess he meant it.

This blowout happened right after they finished melting faces across North America on their biggest tour yet – 60+ shows, 100k+ tickets sold (not bad for a band that started in a basement). Oh, and their fifth album “The Surface” is still crushing charts, thanks to those twin bangers “Might Love Myself” and “I Was Alive” blasting to #1. Fun fact: Those tracks are the band’s therapy session turned anthem factory.

Missed the Columbus madness? Cool your FOMO – BEARTOOTH’s serving up the whole shebang. “I Was A… LIVE” drops TODAY (July 11) on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Wanna watch the carnage? The full 90-minute spectacle, directed by cinematic wizard Ray Duker, is now on their YouTube channel. Merch nerds rejoice: three limited-edition vinyl sets of the show also drop today. Because vinyl is cooler than your Spotify playlist.

“This show was like getting hit by a feels train,” admits Shomo. “We brought the noise, Columbus brought the love. This recording’s your front-row seat to the chaos. Crank it.” (Side note: Caleb once ate 17 tacos before a show. Unrelated.)
