So, it turns out that the one and only BLAZE BAYLEY, former IRON MAIDEN frontman, did a live chat with The Metal Voice, and you can check it out below. In this chat, he spilled the beans about his upcoming UK tour, where he’ll be playing his debut solo album Silicone Messiah – because who doesn’t love a good blast from the past? And if that’s not enough, he’s also got 10 dates lined up in November to perform IRON MAIDEN’s X-Factor album from start to finish. Talk about a metal nostalgia fest!
During the chat, BLAZE was asked which songs from his era he’d like to see IRON MAIDEN play on future tours (because, let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to hear more BLAZE-era MAIDEN?). His response? “It’s a challenging question but I think I would like to hear ‘The Unbeliever’, it’s so good. I’m going to do a special IRON MAIDEN X-Factor set in November for those shows I booked. 10 shows in 10 countries and I’m going to play The X Factor completely.” Yep, it’s going to be a wild ride!
For those who might not know, BLAZE BAYLEY, a Metal Hall Of Fame inductee, took over as the frontman for IRON MAIDEN from 1994-1999 before embarking on a solo career that’s yielded 12 full-length studio albums (and counting!). His debut solo effort, Silicon Messiah, is considered iconic, and to celebrate its 25th anniversary, he’s embarking on a 37-date tour across the UK and Europe. To make it an even more special occasion, he’s releasing a special vinyl LP version of the album, complete with rejuvenated artwork and 180g double red and blue translucent vinyl. You can grab it at his webshop, along with some cool merch like a tour T-shirt and a ‘fanpack’ that includes the album on cassette tape (because, nostalgia!), patches, plectrums, and a sticker sheet.
