As the Chameleons prepares to launch a North American tour co-headlining with Texas darkwavers Twin Tribes, the British post-punk act has announced an additional 14 dates this summer supporting The Psychedelic Furs. Adding to an already busy touring schedule for 2025, the new dates will see Chameleons stepping in for The Mission U.K., who had been sidelined from live performances by illness; while reflecting on the unfortunate circumstances and describing The Mission as “really good friends,” Chameleons vocalist and bassist Vox is excited by the prospect of playing with The Psychedelic Furs, promising that “it’ll be a bill to remember.”
The live shows in 2025 continue Chameleons’ recent career renaissance, driven by a lineup that includes founding members Vox and guitarist Reg Smithies joined by guitarist Stephen Rice, keyboardist Danny Ashberry, and drummer Todd Demma. In 2024, the band released its first new material in over 20 years on the Where Are You? EP, plus the Tomorrow Remember Yesterday EP, which features a selection of re-recorded archival material, both available now via Metropolis Records.
Chameleons’ newly announced tour dates with The Psychedelic Furs are scheduled from June 28 through July 15, including performances in Columbus, Pittsburgh, Windsor, Buffalo, Louisville, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Austin and more. Prior to the new dates, Chameleons run with Twin Tribes kicks off this Friday, April 25, in Minneapolis and concludes on May 4 in Silver Spring, with a total of nine dates in the U.S. and Canada. June will see Chameleons touring in Europe and the U.K., starting with the Dark City Fest in Benidorm on June 7, and including several stops in Spain and Portugal, leading up to an appearance at the Forever Now Festival in Milton Keynes on June 22. Chameleons will also play at the Summerfest event in Milwaukee, plus an additional show in Indianapolis, in late June.
