So last month, the Texas death metal crew CEREBRAL ROT decided to pull a phoenix move – they broke up and immediately rose from the grave as CORPUS OFFAL. Because why mourn a band’s demise when you can just slap together a new supergroup? This thrashy Frankenstein features ex-CEREBRAL ROT folks, plus BELL WITCH drummer Jesse Shreibman (fun fact: BELL WITCH once released an 83-minute single song album – because who needs brevity when you’ve got existential dread?) and FETID members. Talk about recycling!
Now CORPUS OFFAL is hitting the road harder than a mosh pit rookie. Their U.S. tour kicks off April 26 in Houston and wraps May 31 in Austin – because every metal tour legally has to end in Texas, apparently. They’ll storm through LA, Philly, DC, and other cities where black clothing sales are about to spike. Pro tip: Their self-titled debut LP drops the same day the tour starts. Coincidence? Or just good planning to fund their gas money?

The band’s lineup? Ian Schwab (vocals/guitar), Clyle Lindstrom (guitar), Jason Sachs (bass), and Jesse Shreibman – BELL WITCH’s drummer who moonlights as a keyboardist, because apparently being in a funeral doom band and a thrash group still leaves him with too much free time. Priorities, right?
