CROWBAR And EYEHATEGOD To Join Forces For August 2025 U.S. Tour

Alright, sludge enthusiasts, brace yourselves—CROWBAR and EYEHATEGOD are teaming up for a U.S. tour this summer, because apparently America hasn’t suffered enough. The riff-powered misery begins August 8 at Tampa’s Brass Mug and drags its woeful carcass across the East Coast until collapsing in New Orleans’ Southport Hall on August 30. Bring a helmet.

EYEHATEGOD said, and I quote verbatim because you can’t make this stuff up: “You axed for it…this August we hit the road with New Orleans family CROWBAR! Witness this devastating display of New Orleans riffery blazing up the East Coast this Summer! Tickets available NOW with presale code NOLA 25!” (Note: No actual axes required for entry.)

Now, about CROWBAR: These NOLA doom granddaddies dropped “Zero And Below” in 2022, their heaviest slab of melancholy since 1998’s “Odd Fellows Rest” (a.k.a. the soundtrack to your existential crisis). Frontman Kirk Windstein, who probably owns a thesaurus where “sad” is circled in red, described the album as “unforgivably doom-driven,” which tracks when your song titles include “Bleeding From Every Hole”. Fun fact: Kirk once jokingly said he’d endorse a laundry detergent brand if they sponsored his riff-writing—still waiting, Tide.

Speaking of Kirk, he gushed to a podcast five years ago: “It’s really a killer record — I love it. We’re all super, super happy with the way it came out…I’m really just loving it, to be honest — I really am.” (Translation: Even doom lords need validation sometimes.)

Meanwhile, EYEHATEGOD’s Mike IX Williams recently told Aussie mag Heavy that new material is…eventually coming. “We’ll get something out,” he shrugged, adding they “like to take our time” between albums—which is code for “we’ve been too busy touring and surviving liver transplants.” Their 2021 album “A History Of Nomadic Behavior” was recorded after Mike’s brush with death and three years of touring, which explains why it sounds like a cement mixer full of anger. Fun fact: The band’s name was allegedly inspired by a caffeine-fueled rant about numerology. Don’t ask.
