KID ROCK Cancels NYC SHOWS, Rewrites Classic Hit To “New York’S Still Not My Home”

In a move that shocked precisely no one and entertained absolutely everyone, Kid Rock has allegedly canceled his upcoming New York City shows, declaring, “SORRY NYC, BUT I DON’T SING FOR COMMIES.”

The phrase went viral across X and Facebook, sending fans and fact-checkers alike into full-blown chaos. Within hours, the quote was traced back to a satirical news site — but by that point, the meme cycle had already completed its sacred duty.

According to the article that started it all, the Detroit-born rocker was responding to the election of NYC’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, whom Kid Rock supposedly described as “part of the new communist regime.” The piece even claimed Rock compared his boycott to “a modern-day Boston Tea Party, but with fewer wigs and more whiskey.”

As expected, none of this exists anywhere near his verified social media. The closest thing to a statement from the man himself is a November 5 post reading simply:

“Fk it, I’m moving to Florida.”

In the grand tradition of doubling down on chaos, Kid Rock has reportedly re-recorded his 1999 track “New York’s Not My Home” — now updated to the fitting title “New York’s STILL Not My Home.” Sources close to the musician claim the new version includes “more banjo, less tolerance.”

Meanwhile, actual tour promoters have confirmed no shows were ever canceled — mainly because no NYC dates were booked to begin with.

When reached for comment, one fan wrote on X:

“Kid Rock not playing NYC is the most Kid Rock thing Kid Rock could do.”
