LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Mötley Crüe fans expecting to see the band tear up the stage in Las Vegas this spring will have to wait a little longer, as frontman Vince Neil has announced an unexpected twist: he’s postponing the residency to undergo additional medical procedures—this time, to fully embrace his new identity as a woman.
“Everyone kept saying I look more and more womanly as I get older, so I figured—why not just lean in and make it official?” Neil stated in a bold social media post. “Mötley Crüe has always been about pushing boundaries, and this is just my next big transformation. You thought the ‘80s were wild? Wait till you see me now!”
The residency, originally scheduled for March 28 through April 19 at Dolby Live at Park MGM, has now been moved to September and early October to accommodate the singer’s final transition surgeries. “It’s not just a nip and tuck, guys—this is a full commitment,” Neil added. “I owe it to the fans to bring them the best version of me, and that version just so happens to require a few more medical procedures. No regrets, no apologies—just a lot more sequins.”
Bandmates reportedly reacted with a mix of shock and indifference. Nikki Sixx was overheard saying, “I mean, we all wore more makeup than our girlfriends back in the day, so this really isn’t that surprising.” Meanwhile, Tommy Lee took to Instagram Live to express his support: “Vince, man… or should I say… Vince-ette? You do you! Just don’t steal my fishnets.”
The new Vegas residency dates are as follows:
- Friday, Sept. 12
- Saturday, Sept. 13
- Wednesday, Sept. 17
- Friday, Sept. 19
- Saturday, Sept. 20
- Wednesday, Sept. 24
- Friday, Sept. 26
- Saturday, Sept. 27
- Wednesday, Oct. 1
- Friday, Oct. 3
Tickets from the original spring residency will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets, as Neil has promised a show like never before, complete with a wardrobe makeover, an updated stage name (“Vincetta” is rumored), and, of course, the same slightly breathless vocal performance we’ve all come to love.
