Doom titans Monolord are heading back to the U.S. next June for their first North American run since 2022, finally giving fans a reason to leave the house and willingly stand in a haze of fuzz thick enough to qualify as weather. The trio will be rolling through the western states, including stops at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles and Great American Music Hall in San Francisco — ideal venues for maximum riff reverberation and/or spiritual dissociation.
The announcement comes just as the Gothenburg crew — Thomas Jäger, Esben Willems, and Mika Häkki — have finished work on their fifth album. Yes, finished. No more teasing. No more cryptic studio pics. It’s actually happening.
“The new album is a wrap! Recording with Sylvia Massy has been a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to bring these new songs on the road,” the band said. Which is doom-band speak for “prepare your neck.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, December 5 at 10 a.m. local time via Monolord.com. Mizmor will support on all dates, ensuring every night is appropriately bleak, beautiful, and extremely loud.
