MUDVAYNE’s GREG TRIBBETT To Miss ‘L.D. 50 25th Anniversary’ Tour After Wife Loses Battle With Cancer

MUDVAYNE guitarist Greg Tribbett won’t be shredding on stage for their “L.D. 50 25th Anniversary” tour after his wife, Debbie, sadly lost her battle with cancer. Yeah, life’s a real gutter sometimes.

Earlier today (Thursday, September 11), the band hit up social media with: “Tour starts today! We are going to miss our brother Greg on this tour, sending him and his family all the love.” Straight-up classy, but you know the pit’s gonna feel a little emptier without him.

The nostalgia-heavy trek kicks off tonight in Dubuque, Iowa (because where ELSE do you start a metal tour?) and wraps up October 26 in Uncasville, Connecticut. STATIC-X and VENDED will be tagging along—because who doesn’t love a chaotic family reunion?

The MudVayNe Mob Facebook group dropped the heartbreaking news on September 7: “With the heaviest of hearts we mourn the loss of our dearest most beautiful friend Debbie Tribbett…”
