So, it turns out MICHAEL MONROE is out of commission due to an unexpected knee surgery, and his stint as the direct support act on BUCKCHERRY’s US fall tour (September 21 – October 25) is being taken over by NASHVILLE PUSSY, those Atlanta-based rockers. Fun fact: NASHVILLE PUSSY is known for their high-energy performances and raw, unbridled rock ‘n’ roll, so this should be a great fit!
The opening act for most shows will be Drew Cagle & The Reputation, except at The Whisky A Go Go, where you’ll get to see The Violent Hour, featuring none other than ex-Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey, shredding the stage. Later on in the tour (October 26 – November 7), EVA UNDER FIRE will be joining BUCKCHERRY as direct support. Want tickets and VIP Upgrades? Head over to Buckcherry.com!
“Wishing Michael the best during his recovery and look forward to seeing YOU at the Rock Show!” says BUCKCHERRY.
“Back in the USA — and we’ve got some tight pants to fill,” says NASHVILLE PUSSY. “Our rock brothers BUCKCHERRY called us up to join their American Tour while Michael Monroe gets back to full strength… and you KNOW we couldn’t say no. We’re honored, grateful, and know YOU’RE ready to feel the sweat, chaos, and rock ’n’ roll again! Can’t wait to see y’all!” By the way, NASHVILLE PUSSY has been around since 1990 and has been bringing that raw rock energy to the scene for decades.
Here’s the statement from Michael Monroe’s management:
“Unfortunately Michael Monroe will be unable to join BUCKCHERRY on tour next month as planned. Michael is recovering from a ruptured meniscus and, on medical advice, has been instructed to refrain from touring for the next three months to ensure proper healing and to avoid long-term damage.” Hope he recovers soon!
