2023 saw Comasoft returning from a considerable hiatus of eight years, and now the Chicago quartet is making good on its return with a new EP, titled Gather at the End. Spearheaded by the “Numbing” and “Firebomb” singles, the five-track EP marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s first eponymous release, produced at Chicago’s BLVM3 Studios, and solidifying the blend of alt. rock and dark electro Comasoft came to be known for across a small discography of two albums, four EPs, and several singles. Now comprised of founding members Jay Ramirez and Tomasz Banach with Christopher Lee and Chris Campbell, the band will also be celebrating the new EP’s release with a performance at Chicago’s Cobra Lounge on April 25, sharing the stage with BA Sisters and DJ Leo; Comasoft will also perform at Black Swan Bar and Grill in Columbus on July 11 with The Stigmas and Leæther Strip, with more dates currently being planned. Gather at the End will be released on April 25 via Moth in a Flame, following up on 2023’s Finis Temporis EP.
