ALICE IN CHAINS Cancels All May 2025 Concerts Due To SEAN KINNEY’s Health

ALICE IN CHAINS just pulled the plug on all their shows this month after drummer SEAN KINNEY got sidelined by the universe’s worst timing. Dude couldn’t catch a break even if he tried.

After axing their Mohegan Sun Arena gig in Uncasville, Connecticut (we’re talking Thursday vibes gone wrong), the band hit us with: “After careful consideration and following the advice of medical professionals, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming festival performances and the ALICE IN CHAINS headline shows.”

“While we were all eager to return to the stage, SEAN‘s health is our top priority at this moment,” they added, because apparently drummers are important or whatever.

The band swears it’s not life-threatening, though: “Although the issue requires immediate attention, his long-term prognosis is positive.” Translation: Sean’s still got years of beating skins ahead.

When the Connecticut gig got kiboshed, ALICE IN CHAINS posted that SEAN had a “non-life-threatening medical emergency” post-soundcheck. No deets on what exactly went down, but we’re guessing it wasn’t food poisoning from backstage M&Ms.

Canceled dates include:

  • MMRBQ in Camden, NJ (May 10 – nice BBQ, zero chains)
  • SONIC TEMPLE in Columbus, OH (May 11 – no sonic blessings this time)
  • WELCOME TO ROCKVILLE in Daytona Beach, FL (May 16 – rockville population: still zero)
  • Headliners in Nashville, TN (May 13) and Dothan, AL (May 15)

Still on for the BLACK SABBATH/OZZY OSBOURNE retirement finale July 5 in Birmingham, UK. Because canceling on Ozzy? That’s how you get cursed.
