Denver Metal Icons CORRUPTION Announce Comeback Show

CORRUPTION, the aggressive-progressive metal behemoth founded by Marc Grabowski, former bassist of Denner/Shermann and Demonica, is back to shake things up in the metal scene – and they’re kicking off their return in style in their hometown of Denver.

The band’s new lineup is looking pretty sweet, with Grabowski (who’s also been involved with Martriden and Cephalic Carnage, because one band just isn’t enough for this guy) on bass and vocals, guitarists George Glasco (The Quiet Room) and Sean Beeson, and newcomer Ryan Ball on drums. They’re set to unleash their signature sound on June 28 in Denver, Colorado.

Expect a high-energy setlist packed with fan faves and some seriously epic tracks from their back catalog – we’re talking decades worth of material here. CORRUPTION is known for their ridiculously catchy riffs, elaborate arrangements, and raw emotional power, not to mention their infamous sold-out shows and charismatic stage presence. Marc Grabowski is a bit of a metal legend, having been part of some influential bands over the years – and now he’s bringing his talents to the forefront with CORRUPTION.

Originally, the band was planning to make their comeback in 2024, but life had other plans. They were hit hard by the loss of longtime drummer Nick Studen, who appeared on all of CORRUPTION’s studio releases alongside Grabowski. The remaining members took some time to process their grief, but ultimately decided to keep the band’s music alive in Nick’s honor – a decision that’s sure to please fans.

After a lengthy audition process, Ryan Ball was chosen as the new drummer, and the band is stoked. “We were blown away when Ryan came in and crushed it from beat one. But it was his respect for our loss and dedication to honor Nick’s masterful drumming that won our hearts. We are thrilled to welcome Ryan into our band and pleased to introduce him as the new drummer for CORRUPTION.”

Now that they’ve got their new lineup locked in, CORRUPTION is eager to reignite the magic for a new generation of metalheads. “We can’t wait to reconnect with familiar faces, and welcome new fans who are ready to ‘embrace the madness’ with us for years to come,” Grabowski said, hinting at the band’s plans to continue making music that’s just as wild and unpredictable as they are.

And it’s not just old material – CORRUPTION is hard at work on new songs that promise to push the boundaries of their unique sound. “We’re crafting next level songs that will completely blow everyone’s minds,” Grabowski added. “This momentous comeback show is just the beginning. It’s more than just a reboot, it’s a rebirth. A modern rethinking of CORRUPTION from the ground up.”

Join CORRUPTION, along with Dallas thrash legends Gammacide, on Saturday, June 28 at The Rickhouse Performance & Event Venue for a night of head-banging classics and a glimpse into the bold new era that’s unfolding. By the way, Gammacide is another band worth checking out if you’re into thrash metal – they’ve been around since the 80s and are known for their aggressive sound.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday May 6 and are likely to sell out quickly for this special event. For ticket info and updates, follow the band here, or email the band directly at [email protected].
