LIFE OF AGONY Announces ’30 Years Of Ugly’ Tour Celebrating Iconic 1995 Album

Hold onto your flannel shirts, folks—LIFE OF AGONY is throwing a massive bash for their 1995 album “Ugly” (Roadrunner Records) with the “30 Years Of Ugly” tour. For the first time EVER, the New York legends are playing this angsty gem start-to-finish live. Pro tip: Bring tissues for the emotional rollercoaster.

Fun fact: After their iconic debut “River Runs Red” (you know, the one that made your teenage self feel SEEN), “Ugly” swerved hard into raw melodies and existential dread. Imagine your favorite pizza place suddenly serving gourmet sushi—it’s that kind of plot twist. Tracks like “Let’s Pretend” (the ultimate denial anthem), “Unstable” (cancer’s worst soundtrack), and the title track “Ugly” (slow-burn therapy session) basically invented “sadboi metal” before TikTok existed. Shoutout to deep cuts like “Other Side Of The River” for keeping the mosh pits philosophical.

Joey Zampella (guitar wizard) drops truth bombs: “Everyone was expecting ‘River Runs Red, Part 2’, but ‘Ugly’ was a left, right and U-turn! People were like, ‘Okay, this is different?!'” Classic Joey—always keeping fans on their toes since the Clinton era.

U.S. tour kicks off Sept. 19 in Bensalem, PA, with GOD FORBID (metalcore OGs) and JASTA (yes, Hatebreed’s hype-man-in-chief) joining the chaos. Then it’s off to Europe in November with UGLY KID JOE—because irony loves company. Bonus trivia: Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe’s frontman) briefly sang for L.O.A. in the ‘90s. Talk about a crossover episode!

Alan Robert (bass sage) gets nostalgic: ‘Ugly’ was probably the most emotionally vulnerable record we ever made… we always wore our hearts on our sleeves.” Translation: They cried so you could mosh.

Keith Caputo (vocal legend) hypes the tour: “I might even have to convince Whit to sing an L.O.A. song with us out there. That would be so cool.” Keith, if this happens, we demand a TikTok duet.
