DANNY ELFMAN has announced a fall 2026 tour in support of his forthcoming new rock album, with dates kicking off September 7 at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.
The run includes stops in Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Silver Spring, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Sacramento, plus festival appearances at Shaky Knees, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. Presales begin Wednesday, July 8 at 10 AM local time, with the general on-sale starting Friday, July 10 at 10 AM local time.
Elfman’s touring band is not exactly short on résumé weight. The lineup features NILI BROSH on guitar, ROBIN FINCK on guitar, JOSH FREESE on drums, and MATT MCJUNKINS on bass, with credits touching DETHKLOK, NINE INCH NAILS, GUNS N’ ROSES, FOO FIGHTERS, A PERFECT CIRCLE, and EAGLES OF DEATH METAL. Casual little backup crew, then.
The shows will pull from Elfman’s forthcoming album, Big Mess, Oingo Boingo material, and his solo catalog. Outdoor concerts will also include selections from his film and television scores with orchestra and choir, while the indoor shows will be all rock. So yes, depending on the date, you may get either full cinematic nightmare carnival or rock-band Elfman with the brakes cut. Possibly both, spiritually.
