DEICIDE Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

In a move that nobody saw coming—but everyone secretly feared—the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has officially confirmed DEICIDE as one of this year’s inductees, citing the band’s “profound and everlasting impact on the rock’n’roll scene, the art of blasphemy, and forehead branding as self-expression.”

The announcement immediately caused Disney+ (which will stream the ceremony) to activate its emergency “parental lockdown” protocol, restricting the show to viewers aged 666 and up.

Glen Benton, frontman and eternal spokesman for the underworld, responded to the honor in classic fashion:

“I’ll accept the award only if it’s dipped in goat blood and presented upside down. Otherwise, it’s just another false idol made in Cleveland.”

Organizers reportedly agreed, as long as Benton refrains from “setting off small unholy fires” during the ceremony. Benton allegedly replied with, “Define small.”

The lineup for the event already promised chaos—Elton John, Flea, Iggy Pop, Taylor Momsen, and Doja Cat were all confirmed as guests—but the inclusion of DEICIDE has shifted the tone dramatically. According to inside sources, Elton John has requested a flame-retardant piano, while Iggy Pop is reportedly thrilled, calling it “the first time I won’t be the weirdest guy in the room.”

Rumor has it that Flea will join DEICIDE onstage for a funk-infused version of “Dead by Dawn”, and that Taylor Momsen will handle guest vocals on “Kill the Christian,” because, as she said in rehearsal, “it’s not that different from my high school experience.”

The Hall of Fame’s exhibit, set to open October 31st (fittingly), will now feature Glen Benton’s original burned-in forehead cross, preserved in a special climate-controlled case between Meg White’s outfit and Chris Cornell’s guitar. Security has been tightened after reports that the artifact occasionally whispers in Latin.

In his official acceptance statement, Benton concluded:

“Rock and roll was always supposed to scare your parents. Mission accomplished.”

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will stream November 8th on Disney+, assuming the servers survive the opening ritual.
