FIRE IN THE MOUNTAINS has unveiled its fourth wave of artists for the 2026 edition of the immersive mountain gathering, set for July 23–26 at Red Eagle Campground in East Glacier, Montana, on the ancestral lands of the Blackfeet Nation — an area known as “The Backbone of the World.”
Newly announced performers include AGALLOCH, who will present a special Ashes Against The Grain set, dark folk outlier AMIGO THE DEVIL, and a rare performance of BETWEEN TWO WORLDS — the landmark 2006 album brought to life by founding members Abbath, Ice Dale, and Armagedda.
A special guest headliner is still to be announced.
Festival organizers shared:
“It is our absolute honor to host for the first time ever in North America — and only the second time ever on stage — the performance of the landmark 2006 release Between Two Worlds by founding members and black metal icons Abbath, Ice Dale, and Armagedda.
In an exclusive North American engagement, the band will bring this triumphant record to life in the glory of the Rocky Mountains on the beautiful Blackfeet Nation for a special 20th anniversary performance. A show that before could only be dreamed of, we cannot wait to share this moment with all of you under the stars.”
Abbath added:
“Between Two Worlds is an album I’ve always been very proud of. Many of these songs have only been performed live once. I’m very much looking forward to teaming up with my old friends Ice Dale and Armagedda to revisit these tracks for this great occasion. It’s been way too long.”

More than a festival, Fire In The Mountains is designed as a fully immersive experience — blending heavy music, art, education, food, and community within the remote wilderness bordering Glacier National Park. What began as a bold experiment pairing extreme music with the vast landscapes of the Rocky Mountains has evolved into a deliberate act of “rewilding” — encouraging attendees to reconnect with nature and with one another.
Beyond the music, the festival is committed to supporting suicide prevention initiatives impacting the Blackfeet Nation and Indigenous communities across Indian Country. By combining awareness, education, and direct support, Fire In The Mountains aims to foster both cultural celebration and meaningful action.
Additional artist announcements — including the special guest headliner — are expected soon.
