GOJIRA have recruited PALEFACE SWISS drummer Luigi Paraventi for three U.S. festival appearances after Mario Duplantier was unable to travel to the country.
Duplantier is sitting out the shows because of what the band described as “an immigration issue.” GOJIRA said he had fought to find a solution and was heartbroken that he could not join them.
Paraventi stepped in on short notice, earning the band’s suitably video-game-minded announcement: “Player 2 has entered the game — RESPECT.” Festival season waits for neither paperwork nor percussionists.
The temporary lineup will appear at Rock Fest, Upheaval Festival, and Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival.
