GWAR Announce 2026 North American Tour With MIDNIGHT, MAC SABBATH, X-COPS & More

Shock-rock overlords GWAR are returning this fall with another full-scale campaign of chaos, bloodshed, and absurdity. The band has officially announced the “Gor Gor Must Die! Tour,” a massive North American run featuring support from blackened rock’n’roll crushers MIDNIGHT, fast-food metal maniacs MAC SABBATH, plus select appearances from X-COPS and ATOMIC RULE.

As if that wasn’t enough, GWAR have also revealed a new limited-edition pink 7-inch vinyl featuring their warped covers of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” and Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken,” transformed into “We’re Just GWAR.” The tracks reportedly pulled in more than 2.5 million YouTube views through their collaboration with The A.V. Club.

The tour launches October 27 in Charlottesville, Virginia, includes a special stop aboard The Headbangers Boat, and wraps December 12 in Norfolk, Virginia. Fans can expect the usual GWAR madness: gallons of fake blood, grotesque creatures, heavy riffs, and enough stage destruction to frighten local authorities.

Front-creature Blothar offered this statement on the upcoming carnage:

“As both father and mother to our precious dinosaur Gor Gor, my hearts break to see what he has become: a crack-addicted truck-stop lizard-of-the-evening. We didn’t raise him to hustle his cloaca up and down the street. It is time for some tough love! Come watch as GWAR lays a whoopin’ on his giant red ass on the ‘Gor Gor Must Die Tour’ with Midnight, Mac Sabbath, X-Cops, and Atomic Rule.”

Pre-sales begin tomorrow, with general on-sale starting Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
