Iron Maiden reschedule sold-out Los Angeles show due to college football clash

Iron Maiden have been forced to reschedule one of their upcoming Los Angeles performances due to a scheduling conflict with a major college football game. Concert promoter Live Nation announced that restrictions on simultaneous events at Exposition Park require the band’s sold-out Saturday, September 26 show at the 22,000-capacity BMO Stadium to move to Sunday, September 27. The change is due to the USC Trojans vs. Oregon Ducks game scheduled the same day at the neighboring Memorial Coliseum.

The band’s Friday, September 25 performance at BMO Stadium remains unchanged. All tickets purchased for the original September 26 date will be honored for the rescheduled September 27 show, and ticket holders have received emails with additional details. The concerts are part of the North American leg of Iron Maiden’s Run For Your Lives world tour, celebrating the band’s 50th anniversary. Tickets are available at this location.

On Wednesday (4th), the band addressed the situation and change on social media, stating:

“Live Nation regret to announce that Iron’s Maiden second show in LA on September 26 has had to be rescheduled to September 27. We regret to inform fans that due to restrictions on simultaneous events at Exposition Park, we have been forced to move the Iron Maiden show scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at BMO Stadium to Sunday, September 27. This is specifically due to the USC Trojans vs Oregon Ducks college football game taking place at the neighbouring 100,000 capacity Memorial Coliseum stadium.

This is an unprecedented circumstance and is unfortunately entirely outside of either our or the band’s control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we comply with venue and city regulations. The Friday, September 25 performance at BMO Stadium remains unchanged. All tickets purchased for Saturday, September 26 will be honored for the rescheduled show on Sunday, September 27. Emails have been sent to ticket holders with further details. We are extremely sorry for the disruption and thank you for your continued support.”
