When KORN was announced as part of the 2025 Lollapalooza lineup, fans were hyped—until the band themselves expressed utter confusion. In a statement that can only be described as a mix of bewilderment and regret, KORN admitted they had no idea they had signed up for one of the world’s biggest pop-centric festivals.
“We thought we were just making an order,” Jonathan Davis confessed. “The name Lollapalooza sounded like some fancy fusion restaurant, and we were really craving a good meal. Next thing we know, we’re booked to play a festival with Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter.”
According to sources close to the band, the initial agreement was reached when the members were scanning what they believed to be a high-end dining menu, mistaking headliners like “RÜFÜS DU SOL” for a bougie seafood dish and “TWICE” for an all-you-can-eat option.
But the real kicker? The menu items kept getting weirder. “I saw ‘SILLY GOOSE’ and thought, ‘Alright, maybe some kind of artisanal poultry dish,’” Davis admitted. “And ‘SUNAMI’? Sounds like an exotic sushi roll.” Guitarist Munky reportedly agreed, stating, “Honestly, I just assumed we were signing up for a tasting menu. Despite their culinary disappointment, KORN has assured fans they will still perform at Lollapalooza—although they may take a moment between songs to ask festival organizers if they can at least get a bread basket.
