American black metal institution PROFANATICA will hit the road this summer for an extensive six-week run across the United States.
The tour begins July 28 in Portland, Maine and will carry the veteran extreme metal outfit through more than 30 cities before concluding September 7 in Providence, Rhode Island. Along the way, PROFANATICA will be joined by a rotating cast of support acts including MORBOSIDAD, ONE MASTER and CLOAK.
Known for their uncompromising blend of blasphemous black metal and death metal filth, PROFANATICA remain one of the most influential and controversial names in the American extreme underground. Formed in the early 1990s by drummer/vocalist Paul Ledney following his departure from INCANTATION, the band helped define the raw and primitive sound that would become a cornerstone of U.S. black metal.
Highlights of the trek include a special August 15 appearance in Brooklyn supporting AGALLOCH, as well as lengthy stretches alongside MORBOSIDAD in the western U.S. and CLOAK during the eastern leg of the tour.
