Queens Of The Stone Age Scrap August European Touring As Josh Homme Remains Under Medical Care

Fan concern over Queens Of The Stone Age vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme intensified today, July 26th. The gold-certified alternative rock band’s August touring plans have newly been scrapped as Homme receives continued medical care.

Earlier this month, the outfit were forced to scrap their slate of July touring, with the group stating on July 09th, “Josh Homme must return to the United States for emergency surgery. Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.”

A post shared overnight finds the band’s slate of August European touring having now been canceled as well, as Homme remains under medical care. That statement reads as follows:

UPDATE:
Due to continued medical care, it is under doctors’ orders that Josh Homme remain in their care in the United States. The following QOTSA festival performances have been cancelled.

8/8 Way Out West
8/9 Oya
10/8 Syd For Solen
15/8 Cabaret Vert
16/8 Lowlands
18/8 Pukkelpop

The Homme family and QOTSA are so grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and kind understanding during this time.”
