The CBGB Festival will return to Brooklyn, NY on September 26, 2026, taking over Under the K Bridge Park with a lineup that spans punk’s founding generation, hardcore veterans, and newer alternative acts — plus a few names that may inspire spirited debate about what exactly counts as “punk” in 2026.
Leading the bill are SEX PISTOLS (Steve Jones, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock) featuring Frank Carter, alongside PATTI SMITH, MORRISSEY, and New York’s own INTERPOL — because nothing says classic CBGB chaos quite like melancholic crooning and impeccably tailored post-punk revival.
Also appearing are BIKINI KILL, CIRCLE JERKS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BUZZCOCKS, SLEATER-KINNEY, MANNEQUIN PUSSY, MILITARIE GUN, HIGH VIS, BAD NERVES, UPCHUCK, PANIC SHACK, and more.
The festival continues its mission of honoring the legacy of the legendary New York venue while imagining what a modern CBGB lineup might look like today — whether that means hardcore pit violence, punk history lessons, or politely nodding along to INTERPOL.
Attendees can also expect merch vendors, local food and drink, and immersive installations recreating iconic elements of the original club, including Hilly Kristal’s office, the famous bar, and the original stage.
Presale tickets begin April 23, with general sales launching April 24.

Founded in 1973, the original CBGB became one of the most important venues in rock history, helping launch artists such as RAMONES, BLONDIE, TALKING HEADS, PATTI SMITH GROUP, and later serving as a hub for New York hardcore. Five decades later, its name still carries enough weight to unite punk legends, newcomers, and at least a couple of gloriously questionable genre choices under one banner.
