TWISTED SISTER Return With SEBASTIAN BACH — DEE SNIDER Steps Back Due to Health Issues

TWISTED SISTER are officially back in action for select North American dates in 2026 — but with a major lineup shift that marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter.

Following recent announcements, former SKID ROW frontman SEBASTIAN BACH will take over vocal duties for the band’s upcoming shows this fall, stepping in for longtime singer DEE SNIDER, who has withdrawn from the reunion run due to ongoing health concerns.

DEE SNIDER: “The Doctor Told Me I Was Done”

In a candid and deeply personal revelation, SNIDER opened up about the physical toll decades of high-energy performances have taken on his body. At 71, the iconic frontman revealed that a combination of degenerative arthritis, hip issues, and heart-related concerns ultimately forced him to step away from the stage.

Doctors reportedly told him bluntly that his body could no longer handle the demands of performing — a reality he initially struggled to accept.

SNIDER even attempted a comeback after hip surgery, only to suffer further injury onstage, reinforcing what medical professionals had warned him about. Faced with the choice between continuing to push his limits or preserving his quality of life, he ultimately chose to step back.

Despite the difficult decision, SNIDER remains active creatively, focusing on family life, his long-running radio show House of Hair, writing, and even directing his first film. He has also made it clear that this is not a farewell to creativity — just to the physical extremes of live performance.

SEBASTIAN BACH Steps In

Taking over the mic is SEBASTIAN BACH, a longtime admirer of SNIDER and a powerhouse vocalist in his own right. SNIDER has publicly endorsed the choice, calling BACH one of the few singers capable of doing justice to TWISTED SISTER’s legacy.

The upcoming shows will feature core members JAY JAY FRENCH and EDDIE OJEDA on guitars, with a revised rhythm section that includes RUSSELL PZÜTTO on bass and JOEY CASSATA on drums.

First Shows Announced

So far, a handful of North American dates have been confirmed, marking the band’s first performances of 2026 with BACH at the helm:

09/04 – Palmer, AK @ Borealis Theatre
09/12 – Durant, OK @ Choctaw Grand Theater
10/08 – Niagara Falls, ON @ OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino
10/10 – Windsor, ON @ The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor

General ticket sales begin April 10 at 10:00 AM local time.

A Legacy Continues — In a Different Form

While fans won’t see DEE SNIDER commanding the stage this time around, his presence still looms large over these shows. His decision to step away wasn’t made lightly — but it reflects a rare moment of honesty in a genre built on defiance at all costs.

As TWISTED SISTER move forward with SEBASTIAN BACH, the mission remains the same: keep the spirit alive, even if the faces — and the bodies behind them — have changed.

One thing is certain: they’re still not gonna take it.
