After returning from a decades-long slumber earlier this year, HEART OF WINTER FEST is officially set to descend upon Richmond, Virginia once again for another weekend of underground extremity.
The 2027 edition of the festival will take place January 14–16 at The National, bringing together a dense lineup of black metal, death metal, doom, and avant-garde darkness for three days of total sonic devastation.
Organizers described the 2026 comeback edition as a sold-out celebration of underground culture and uncompromising music — and next year’s gathering already looks even more stacked.
Among the first confirmed acts are INFERNO, NECROFIER, THANTIFAXATH, IMPURE, ARTIFICIAL BRAIN, KONTUSION, OSSUARY, PRIMITIVE WARFARE, FINAL GASP, CLOAK, RITUAL MASS, HOLE DWELLER, AEVITERNE, UNHOLY ALTAR, GLORIOUS DEPRAVITY, BLASPHEMOUS, IMPERIALIST, WILD BEYOND, PALE MISERY, ORDH, ARA SUBVERSOR, GRAVE GNOSIS, and PRISONER.
With a lineup spanning cavernous death metal, raw blackened chaos, and experimental darkness, HEART OF WINTER FEST continues to establish itself as one of the East Coast’s most dedicated underground gatherings.
